Upgrading CyanogenMod Sources: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Full_Update_Guide_-_HTC_Dream 1) Recovery image Flashed RA-dream-1.7.0 recovery image, via adb shell (had to enable USB Debugging in Settings > Applications > Development) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566669Did a nandroid backup, also a google apps backup, from within RA. Clockworkmod did not have the google app backup option, so RA is the bomb as far as I'm concerned. 2) Radio upgrade Device had 2.22.19.26i from a previous root, upgraded with G1-radio-2_22_23_02.zip, using RA Reboot ... funky android hopping out of the box Auto-reboot ... "Formatting CACHE:..." takes a long time...? ... just rebooted after 10 minutes, seems responsive, didn't seem to be actually doing anything ... Data works, phone baseband version is 2.22.23.02 3) DangerSPL Installed dangerspl with RA Reboot (returning to recovery console) 4) Wipe Wipe data / factory reset 5) CyanogenMod Used RA to flash update-cm-6.0.0-DS-RC3-signed.zip. This one takes a little bit ... "Welcome to CyanogenMod-6.0.0-DS-RC3!", then returns to RA screen 6) Google apps Used RA to flash gapps-mdpi-20100816-signed.zip Reboot! Umm... Sweet, it worked, I think. Yup, it works. Except for Market. Market doesn't work. Now I got it working. HOW TO GET A FUNCTIONAL MARKET IN CM6 RC3 ON THE HTC DREAM / G1: I flashed gapps-mdpi-20100816-signed.zip, which gave me everything except market. I then (after much searching) installed gapps-mdpi-tiny-20100814-signed.zip), which gave me market, and might have left everything else from the first flash. But I have market. Which is good. And installing to external seems to work fine!
